Student Parking

Register for SWHS Student Parking Permit for the 2026 -2027 school year.  Please note that the cost for the 2026 - 2027 school year is $10.  Payment method is via MySchoolBucks.  Payment is a separate QR code in the office (or available at lunch during the 1st two weeks of school) or throught the link here.  Parking passes from previous school years are not valid.  Students must also have a valid driver's license (not a learner's permit).  Use your school email address to begin completing the form.  Please note that parking passes that are black/white allow for use of the studnet parking lot near the gym and the Tennis Courts (Extracurricular Lot F) across from the CTE building.  Passes that are green/white allow for use of the student parking lot only (Gym side of campus).  Administration will help determine appropriate parking lot.

RESERVED PARKING FUNDRAISER PROGRAM                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 

Southwest High School students may now reserve and personalize individual spaces in the student parking lot. Proceeds from the fundraising effort will be used to support Southwest ISD campus spirit funds. Students participating in the program will be required to follow strict guidelines should they choose to decorate their space. Reserved parking spots will only be respected on school days, from 6:30 am until 4:25 pm. There should be no expectation that reserved spots will be available on weekends or during after-school hours.

 

Pricing:

The campus of Southwest High School will receive proceeds from parking spots sold, each spot being at a price point of $45. There will be 40 spots available: 20 in the tennis court lot and 20 in the gym lot. In the case of the capacity being filled, there is no strict limit, and slots will be added accordingly. The applicant MUST have the corresponding parking pass for the lot of their request.

Eligibility is as follows:

  • Seniors get priority; spot choices can be made starting Tuesday, September 8th.
  • The following week, Monday, September 14th, any leftover spots will be open for Juniors to choose from.
  • Monday, September 21st will be the final date for parking spot choices.

Rules:

  1. Students will be required to secure reservations and design approval prior to applying any artwork. After completing the “Reservation Application” form, students will be required to submit a design proposal for review before personalizing a reserved space.
  2. The design proposal must be approved by a high school administrator.  Any change from the approved design proposal will lead to loss of the reserved space for the remainder of the term, and the fee will be kept (NO REFUNDS).  A copy of the design proposal will be kept on file in the Assistant Principal’s office.
  3. We encourage students to express themselves through the artwork in their design.  We also ask that the student’s name (first and/or last) be included somewhere in their design. 

   Prohibited:

  •       No offensive language, pictures, or symbols.
  •       No drug, tobacco, vape, or alcohol references or images.  
  •       No negative or rude language (Be nice).
  •       No “gang-style tagging.”
  •       No double entendres (Double meanings).
  •       Painter’s tape is REQUIRED, placed at least an inch away from the yellow line.                                       
  •       You may use YOUR NAME. If you want to use a nickname, it must be approved.        (A boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s name is NOT allowed.)

 

  1. Students will be required to use water-based exterior latex paints applied with brush, roller or sponge. No spray cans or sprayer devices will be allowed. No reflective or fluorescent paint will be allowed. It is important to note that students MAY NOT paint anywhere outside of the designated parking space.
  2. Campus administrators will designate the “Paint Day(s)” that will be supervised and monitored at the beginning of each term, as well as any alternate day(s) that might be deemed appropriate.  The student must have a copy of the approved design proposal available for campus administrators and/or other school representatives while completing the application of artwork/designs.
  3. Students must provide their own paint.  Sharing paint with other students is permitted. 
  4. PRIOR to the last official day for Seniors:

Students are required to paint over their parking spots’ design in black water-based exterior latex paint or pay a $25 fee before the last day for Seniors.
