Welcome to Southwest High School, where everyday is a great day to be a Dragon! Located on the Southwest side of San Antonio and serving our community for over 75 years, our staff and students live out our commitment to growth, service and results each day in the classroom and beyond. As a campus of 2,200 students, we are able to offer robust programs for career pathways, advanced academics, UIL athletic and fine arts programs and many different clubs and competitions for students to participate in and find their passion. At SWHS, we work to instill our Dragon Core Values each day:

Dragons can only take flight by using both wings, for us, those are the wings of academics and character. With a strong foundation, we believe that all of our Dragons will take flight at SWHS. We are excited about the partnerships we will continue to build with our students, families and the community and will continue to live out our saying, “Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon.”
