Welcome

Welcome to Southwest High School, where everyday is a great day to be a Dragon! Located on the Southwest side of San Antonio and serving our community for over 70 years, our staff and students live out our commitment to growth, service and results each day in the classroom and beyond. As a campus of 2,000 students, we are able to offer robust programs for career pathways, advanced academics, UIL athletic and fine arts programs, and many different clubs and competitions for students to participate in. Our mission is to ensure every student has the opportunity to reach their goals, and our staff provides a strong foundation so that students are ready to tackle their dreams during their time here and beyond. Southwest High School is the land of opportunity, where you are sure to find the right support to create a meaningful high school experience. We are excited about the partnerships we will continue to build with our students and families and will continue to live out our saying, “Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon.”
